The Gruenchers was also a touch reduced at the time of my visit, but it is very clear that this will be a great vintage for this bottling chez Dujac. The nose under the reduction is deep, pure and sappy, as it offers up a superb blend of red and black cherries, red plums, cocoa, violets, a touch of coffee, lovely soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, very pure and sappy at the core, with ripe, beautifully integrated tannins, tangy acids and stunning length and grip on the very complex finish. - JG
